Links are the essence of the net |
Let's use an analogy to better understand the importance of this concept: like the human body uses vains to oxygen every cell, the Internet uses links to send traffic through every site.
Links can be:
- inbound links (links to your site)
- outbound links (links from your site)
- reciprocal links
Inbound linksObtaining good inbound links should be the goal for a correct positioning: to give interesting content and qualified service to the users to satisfy their needs and obtain a bit of promotion.
Outbound linksEven the outbound links are important in positioning a site: we have always to think about the user. What would the users think if they found a circuit od dialers or spammers when visiting your site? Instead, what would they think if they found interesting links helping them to expand the knowledge on what you talk about on your site?
Reciprocal linksThe use of reciprocal links is a solution many webmasters adopt to increase the raking of their sites. It is a solution search engines don't like much though, so it could be panalising.
