Choose pages with as less links as possible and control if the page has a good ranking in Google.
It is better to be linked from a page with PR4 than from another with PR6 but filled up with links.

It is important to organise the site very well.
Every page transmits part of its PR to another page. If you want to optimise your PR, don't link to other sites from your pages, most of all the home page.
